Ehiosun joins Samsunspor

Nigeria striker Ekigho Ehiosun has joined Turkish club Samsunspor on a one-year loan deal from Warri Wolves.

Ehiosun, 22, has attracted interest from a plethora of clubs in Europe, north Africa and South Africa.

Warri Wolves Media Manager Timi Ebikagboro said both player and club opted for Samsunspor after consulting with former Super Eagles goalkeeper Ike Shorunmu, who played for the club.

The deal takes effect from July 11, and will run through June 31, 2012.

Samsunspor were promoted to the Turkish Super Lig last season after finishing second in the 1. Lig.

Ebikagboro explained that while Samsunspor will have the right of first refusal on the player on a permanent deal, Wolves remained open to other offers.

Great move my brother with great potentials.Ghana surely beat naija for as long as you people continue to parade mediocares in your midfield(mikel and joel).Am looking forward to celebrate another victory over you.But where is the future of Super chickens midfield?the best midfielder yet no recognition'RABIU IBRAHIM'.How i wished he was a ghanaian.

Toluwase: 2011-07-18 21:59

God be with you Ehiosun.Do make it fast fast and become our new Yekini.

gerry: 2011-07-18 22:29

@Annan Gyan, i don't care about you bigging up your national team. you beleive you have the bragging right, fine. but refrain from calling calling my national team super chicken. we have far worse things to call your national eg. black a.s.s of Ghana etc. so respect and behave yourself. you have the right to brag . do so and do it reasonalbly.

http://www.oziafrica.com/news/6761-equatorial-guinea-girls-banned-by-fifa.html

FIFA has banned the Equatorial Guinea girls from participating in the 2012 Olympic Games qualifier, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) commended the world football governing body FIFA and said it has proved us right on the ineligibility of the players.

The federation had petitioned the Confederation of African Football (CAF) protesting the Guineans Fielding boys’ among her team during the last edition of the African Women Championship in South Africa, but the CAF body decided in favour of the Guineans.

However, reacting to FIFA’s recent decision to ban the country, the federation’s General Secretary Barr. Musa Amadu, said in his office at the Glass House that the Federation had been vindicated, describing the ban as a welcome development to women football.

This means that “Guinea’s use of ineligible players has been brought to the fore by FIFA.” When we raised alarm, that those ‘girls’ are not really girls, nobody wants to listen to us.

“We are happy that FIFA has taken the bull by the horns and exposed what the Equatorial Guineans were doing, I’m sure it will make them realize that the name of the game, is fair play” he said.

Amadu, said the decision of the Federation to give the Super Falcons a befitting reception when they came back from Germany recently, was a wise decision, stressing that he had no doubt that if the Falcons had been in another group, they would have made it to the quarterfinal.

Even in that tough group, he stated, we could see that they lost by slim goal margin against their opponents, France and German. That according to him, was why we gave them a befitting reception.

@Annan gyan, we all know you seek recognition but we will give it to you just this once. However, we do not need your patronage, and if you beg for it, please do it responsibly. Just like gerry said, there are worst names to call your national teams.
You can start by finding out the true definition and translation of 'black, darkness'

Am not too comfortable with Ekigho Ehiosun's transfer, probably because i do not have full details. However, i hope the player, agents, clubs and associations on either side are on the right track.
I wish him all the best and good luck. He is such a good striker to be involved in funny transfers.

Guys, I persnolly think it is unfair to call the ghanian national team 'black ass' or 'black ****' - the actual name for the team is Black Monkeys.

@Spoton, I think i agree with you .Great forumites , it is high time we adopt a sweet name for the Ghanian national team.I humbly second sponton on this , from now onward the Ghanian national team should be known and call ..THE BLACK MONKEYS OF GHANA!!!.After all they naturally look more like monkeys than any African breed!!!
