Misconduct charges for Kotoko players

The Ghana Football Association will clamp down heavily on Kumasi Asante Kotoko after their medal presentation at the President’s Cup.

KickOffGhana.com understands every member of the Kotoko playing body and technical staff whose name appeared on the team list will be charged with misconduct by the disciplinary committee of the Ghana Football Association.

Kotoko have been handed a one-year ban from all football activities organized by the Ghana League Clubs Association and fined GHC 10 000 for snubbing the medal presentation ceremony.

They have challenged that ban on the grounds that the present management of GHALCA has no powers to inflict punishment in them.

But now each member of the playing staff for that July 1st game against Berekum Chelsea could be heavily fined and suspended by the Ghana Football Association, who sanctioned the game.

Mr. Kwesi,
At least we have one eye, and we are king. Better than being blind in both eyes and our servant as Ghana is.
What an immature, foolish and ignorant statement coming from an FA chair. Gosh.
You are ridiculing a team like Nigeria that has dominated African women football since its beginning. What ground are you standing on Mr? Do you even know what you are saying? You appear to be a blind man.
And thanks for motivating us to continue to beat you.

Nigeria Is One-eyed King - Ghana FA Boss

NIGERIA is one-eyed king in the land of the blind as far as Women football is concerned in Africa, says the President of Ghana Football Association, GFA, Kwesi Nyantakyi.

At the fifth FIFA Women Football Symposium held in Frankfurt, Germany, yesterday, Nyantakyi said the African continent has not gained anything from the dominant status of Nigeria in Women Football.

''As we can see, Nigeria is a one-eyed king in the land of the blind, the whole of Africa cannot sit by and let things continue like this. We have gained nothingfrom the editions of the World Cup where Nigeria has come as defending African champions.

On our part, we shall challenge Nigeria and ensure we displace them as the leading country in African football as far as Women football is concerned. We are putting structures in place to ensure this,” he added.
