Parker to replace Musona at Chiefs?

Kaizer Chiefs identify Bernard Parker as Knowledge Musona's replacement

Posted: 6 July 2011 Time: 11:05 am

Kaizer Chiefs have identified Bafana Bafana striker Bernard Parker as a replacement for Knowledge Musona should the Zimbabwean striker seal his move to Germany Bundesliga club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.

AmaKhosi have already agreed in principle with Hoffenheim over a transfer fee for Musona, though the 21 year-old still needs to travel to Germany for a check in at the club, medicals and negotiations on his personal terms that will eventually see the deal sealed.

However, Chiefs have in the meantime targeted Parker as the ideal replacement that they want to bring to Naturena and have already initiated talks with the player’s representatives.

Parker is currently back at Dutch club FC Twente – which will be playing in the Champions League qualifiers – for pre-season, but has a very slim chances of being kept on at the club despite being still under contract.

Parker spent the past season on loan at Greek club Panserraikos, scoring only one goal in the 12 matches that he played.

With the reality being that Parker has little chance of staying on at FC Twente, his representatives at Prosport International have started off early talks with Chiefs that will possibly bring him to Naturena.

ProSport International are also apparently at the forefront of working out Musona’s move to Hoffenheim.

After an early finish to the Greek season, Parker trained with AmaZulu and Bidvest Wits towards the end of last season prior to linking up with Bafana Bafana ahead of the game against Egypt.

Parker is himself aware that for him to hold onto his place in the national team he needs to be playing regularly and Chiefs provide that platform.

parker for me was at his best when he was used as a sub at Bafana, right now he just run around the field losing possession easily...so he is good to join Zebra chifs....

If that can happen I will forgive Bobby for all his sins. But we also need an experienced right winger in our team, then we will be complete.

that will be a great move by Chiefs only if his heart will be with Chiefs and focus on the job at hand....but i think he is one of those players who can do anything to play overseas and doesn't matter which team he play for. And that will affect his performance @ chiefs negatively but he can give chiefs that power we need up front if he is fit enough!!!

It could be a good move indeed. But Bobby please sign that guy from B Leopards who also play for SA under 23. That boy who got an injury playing against Zimbabwe. I forgot his name. He is a marvel to watch.

Stonza get a life, what is this thing of Zebra chiefs? We all know that a zebra has black and white stripes not gold and black like the Chiefs kit. Anyway why don't you talk about your team ugly kit which you are even ashamed to launch it.

This would be a wrong move by KC, they barely afford to keep afloat due to financial crises, how can they therefore afford Parker? We want chiefs in the PSL but if they bite more than they can chew, they will be liquidated & end up like African Wanderers or FC AK some where in the bushes.

He once had a good vein of form when he scored for BB but he is not as deadly as many Khosis would like us to believe. 1 goal in 12 matches is a joke.

now, who really do you have in the bench that can come in and change the game? My point exactly, the Zebras don't have a full strength squad. it's only the starting eleven and in the bench you find Jessica Motaung, Kaizer Jr, Bobby Motaung and that boy who danced in the corner flag for no reason!!!!! Ohh not to forget "Mr It's OK-VV!!!

Or maybe its the agreement between KC & Hollard to make promises they cannot keep or anything that would kill the cabbage eaters like flies so that more & more policies would be signed...as usual the cabbage management did not think of pay outs thereof that would dtry the socalled sponsor.

To all those especially Chimpanzees who now call Masanamela Mr 3 Point let me just tell you that you are stupid and that's a reason why i hate Chiefs. The Chimpanzee claims to have the biggest following but now its clear that most of the Chimps fan are trash and crap, How can you find joy in a fellow Black Talented son of the soil if he struggle with English. He's from Limpompo a black people based province, he's not from England or the States. The world respected footballers and coaches struggles with languages that are not their Mother tounge, so do you luagh or find joy in that? I know Leal do struggle with English, Xhosa and Zulu but will that be funny? Up da Bucs
