Pirates looking at First Div. defender

Orlando Pirates taking a closer look at Witbank Spurs Humphrey Khoza

Posted: 3 July 2011 Time: 04:41 pm

Soon after signing Siyabonga Sangweni from Golden Arrows to strengthen their defence, Orlando Pirates have now set their sights in bringing in defender Humphrey Khoza from Witbank Spurs.

The highly rated defender, who was also on Platinum Stars most-wanted list, is set to begin full-time training with Bucs on Monday, where he will get the chance to impress new coach Julio Leal.

Khoza was among other Bucs trialists that appeared in the black-and-white during the Ubuntu Calabash match against Zimbabwe's Dynamos at Rand Stadium  yesterday.

Also appearing for Pirates in the charity match were new recruits David 'Anelka' Fakude and Njabulo Ntusi from University of Pretoria.

Spurs spokesperson Thabo Morape confirmed that his team has given Khoza permission to go on trial at Pirates.

"This shows that at Spurs we don't stand in players' ways if want to persue their careers somewhere else, especially when it's a move to big clubs like Orlando Pirates."

This will be a good signing from the same team that brought us Rooi Mahamutsa. They still owe us for we loaned them Ralph Matema, their captain. It's payback time boys, now we will grab their much sought after defender. Khoza is an MBA in football admin. Mp. Aces (NOT sPURS, I AM NOT BLIND) will also not sign Craig Roslee until he has appeared before the Colonel.

It said that some chiefs supporters are still disillusioned and think that pirates is signing players to stop the so so flop strikers forgetting that pirates are triple cup champions and they should actually be worrying about their team and plead with Bobby to sign talent ayike ukujonga imali yelifa (his father's inheritance)then and only then can they start winning things up the bucs!
