Malawian striker Atusaye Nyondo began training with SuperSport United today as his long-term contract with the club kicked in.

Nyondo has spent the past two years doing duty for Carara Kicks in the First Division, where he was the Coastal Stream’s top scorer last season.

“His long-term contract came into effect today and he also started training with us today,” says Jose Ferreira, also confirming the presence of Kenyan trialists.

KickOff.com has been told that Atusaye, who has previously played for the Malawian Under-17 and Under-20 squads, has actually signed a three-year contract with the club.

Meanwhile, Ferreira confirms that they have made contact with all the players that they are not retaining in the new season, including those that are being transfer listed.

Though he didn’t want to commit into giving names, it is believed that list has Wayne Brown, Bradley Carnell, David Kannemeyer, Jeffrey Ntuka, Shane Poggenpoel, Tshepo Bulu, Thabo Mongalo and Jose Pereira.
