The 33-year-old returned to Swallows in January on loan after a spell at Mamelodi Sundowns, but with the loan deal expiring at the same time as his contract with the Brazilians, he is now looking to sign a new permanent deal.
Leon Prins, the Swallows boss confirms that they are definitely signing Mayinga, saying: “Mayinga is out of contract, but has continued training with us because we will sign him.”
KickOff.com has been told the club is preparing a one-year contract with an option of another year, with only the figures now being negotiated.
Following the departure of Keegan Ritchie to Kaizer Chiefs, the Dube Birds have been forced to hold onto Mayinga so that he gives Shere Lekgothoane competition at left-back.

Sources reveal that former coach Duncan Lechesa has now been made an assistant to Mugeyi, who left Kicks two seasons ago.
Former Free State Stars captain Lechesa, who was thrown into the deep end of the coaching ropes, managed to ensure Kicks’ survival in the league.
- Free State Stars general manager Rantsi Mokoena has confirmed that Ea Lla Koto have parted ways with Itshegetseng Lehumo.
Lehumo, who arrived at Stars at the start of the 2010/11 season, spent most of his time in the stands.
“We gave him a free clearance. We have many players in his position and we felt that we were not going to use him next season,” Mokoena added.
Lehumo was a good player when he arrived at Stars in few games, but he suddenly dropped his form.
According to a source at Stars the player was affected by the death of his mother. “He was very close to his mother and after she passed on, he dropped his form.”
