Masenamela's deal not finalised yet

Punch Masenamela to agree personal terms with Mamelodi Sundowns

Posted: 27 June 2011 Time: 04:44 pm

Punch Masenamela is not yet officially a Mamelodi Sundowns player as the two parties are yet to agree on the player’s personal terms, despite a report to the contrary.

Some reports claim that Masenamela’s deal was set to be finalised on Sunday night, but KickOff.com has been told by the player’s representative, Jazzman Mahlakgane, that it is not a done deal yet.

Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs have agreed terms, but the player is yet to discuss personal terms with ‘The Brazilians’ and that has held up the deal.

“I’m hoping we will finalise it tonight… it is up to Sundowns now to finalise everything with Punch. If things go well then the deal could be done tonight,” Mahlakgane says.

Sundowns officials have apparently been stuck in a meeting all day with Jose Torrealba’s lawyers. The Venezuelan is suing Sundowns for close to R5.5-million in damages, which is for defamation of character and loss of income while the case, the one Torrealba won against Sundowns in October 2007 for forging his signature to extend his contract, was being considered.

Meanwhile, Sundowns are set to announce their new coach on Tuesday in Midrand, Johannesburg, at 11h00. KickOff.com will be on hand to bring it as it happens.

This Masenamela dude can't use his head. How do you leave a team lyk Chiefs and join Sundowns where (if he is picked) he will only play in front of 2000 spectators.

Punch my boy, it shows that you don't use your tai-kop for taking decision. Why join Sunflops when u were a regular at Chiefs? It does not make football sense, unless there is sumthing fishy that we don't know. If you made your decision based on molla, they you a moegoe, san! Sunflops Business Model rely too much on Motsepevich riches but Chiefs business model is more relying on making profit through multiple stream revenue. For instance, Chiefs made you who you are right now, and have made 5000000% profits just by selling you. Any way, just fokof.........

this move has to do with his nedbank interview he did. Chiefs players are required to handle themself in a prof way when havimdmg interviews and this one failed that. Over and above this move is at the best interest of his agent not the player

Dixon whatever. Ghanian teams came here so go ask them what they got. Clubs like Ashanti Kotoko or something. So leave our league and concentrate on you markettable players please man. Bring any team so that you learn a lesson to respect. As for Masenamela, go my boy, u tla itshola one day.

Since i have time on my side let me respond to your stupid comment though I am not Chiefs nor a Sundowns fan.
1st let me tell you why SA players don't go overseas... its not due lack of talent its because we are free of slavery. Teams in South Africa pay decent salaries something you have never heard of in your filthy country.
2nd our league is the best in Africa, rated Top 10 in the world in terms of revenue... where does Ghana belong?
3rd Now tell me how many times has Ghana beat Bafana and vice versa? Looks like you are jealous of what South Africa has achieved and you just can't stomach it.

Lastly if all Ghanians are stupid like your country is cursed.

I said it before...Jazzman is one dodgy agent. As for Punch, he is ill-advised. I would rather earn R2 with the prospects of going oorkant than earn R5 for the warming the bench for the next 3 years. what if the coach doesnt like him?

Sunflower just puzzled me really nowadays...There's Innocent Mdledle; Sibusiso Khumalo & now Masanamela.

Whoever will coach this team will have sleepless nites by pressure from fans demanding answers why they're losing games despite having so many big name players.

Punch, evenif you were to succeed at Sundowns you will still find that they will buy other players in your position. They give you good money when you arrive and in two years whe your contract ends they will offer you less cause they know you have nowhere else to go. Think Marco Mthembu,David Kannemeyr,Brian Baloyi, etc, etc

Mr. 3 points must be careful because TUCKSHOP will be fighting the relegation battle come the end of the season, with their new dutch coach who will coach for 3 months. It does not matter to be paid more while you don't achieve career wise. He will wish to be part of the team that will VAT-ALLES this season.

Listen here you KWERE-KWERE! shut-up your stinky mount bcos is obvious you are just a moron. here in SA we are very proud of our country, hence most of our players prefer to play locally..ask Andile Jali, Itumeleng Khune, etc. so stop your idiocy!

you better agree fast otherwise you will comebac and sit on the bench. We dont want headless chickens. Ritchie is slow but he has vision, Doc Khumalo was also slow but was the best, jali is not fast either, but he has vision, he doesnt run like a headless chicken
