Ramon Azeez a.k.a Xavi 'incarnate' , Sanni Emmanuel ( clinical finisher),Ajagun ( tough and accurate marker),Paul Danjuma ( brave-heart), Uche Nwofor ( already In Barca good books),Omoh Ojabu ( Amokachi 'incarnate' )e.t.c ....This team is complete in all department. However, there should be more cohesion in the defense so as to prevent the scary few minute we experienced in the last African U-20 final against Cameroon , when we allowed two goals in quick succession towards the dying minute. My prediction : We already have silver and we are looking for Gold Medal. Up Naija.

Why do joel obi refuse to play for the U20, abi na big boy or what? what was his work rate against Ethiopia in ADDIS? beside he is a bench warmer in inter, and some times he is not even on the bench, why cant he play in this competition, even Brazil nilmer will be there, even his team mate cutinho will be there with brazil, Mikel, taiwo, okocha and many of our stars played in the fifa u20.

Does this name ring a bell "Felix Udoh" i mean is he in anywhere related to that journalist i use to know, just being curious you know.

@Game147, i like your choice of word in d first and second stanza.

But i wonder who is Joel Obi career adviser, that lad need to showcase his talent in this coming U20 WC and i heard his excuse was "he is tried" and i just wonder how many games he played for intermilan d past season, cos i remember he sat on d bench for d better part of d season, cant somebody tell him to honor this call up in order to make a case for himself in intermilan or better still get another club buy him from inter, does he want to sit in d bench for how long before inter will believe in him, he should be told that a regular player makes you a better player

Or does he feel good sitting on d bench always

@no be una fault:thanks for your comment, he should not forget what inter did to obinna they never belive in their youth team product, like obiora nwankwo who is now in pamar and bibiany who is now in samdoria, if he play in this U20, he will be scouted by many club and if inter cant give a chance to develop then he will leave, he has bad advisers, i heard is siasia who is advising him, because he want the boy for SE only that is why we hear all this news about u23 players who are being called to the SE or SE do not want to allow a player to go and play in the U23, all the players are Nigeria and they doing us good in representing us in any way they fit in.

@no be una fault, You made a very salient point on Joel Obi issue. I think the problem is with their managers . They 're ill-advised most times. Most great names in world football were discovered at the U-20 level, I wonder why this young boy can't use his brain. Anyway good luck to him sha. Up Naija.

@Philosopher, I use to tell people to always and at all times take any news you get from journalist most especially nija press with a pinch of salt, this one is a typical example and you know wot is worst Philosopher my good friend this news quoted the same NFF scribe, so my question is can one person say no we dont support Siasia plans only to grant another interview and say we can not interfere with Siasia plans because he knows d team more than we do.

majority of our newsmen/women are a total disgrace to journalism

Sometimes i ask myself if at all we have investigative journalism in Nigeria or are they all "copyandpastative" journalist

Guys in as much i agreed with your comment but we should also look at it at this way,the purpose of this junior tournament is to discover new talent,
Obi has be discover and settle real down in super eagle as regular so there is no need for that even if he play in that tournament and the team mess up is going to do more damage to him than good, remember England came here 1999 and left M.Owen out of the team because is already regular in senior team,i watched spain team play england u-20 team few days back only player that have played for senior team in that team is J.Mata, if am correct.

In this team i can see up to 3- 4 senior team players already , to best of my knowledge i think that is enough,Stanley Okoro,Terna Suswan has played many super eagles matches under amodu and eguavon, as well as Amokachi,Ahmed Musa is regular now in super eagle,i think it will not be fear to other players that have being in that team for almost 3yrs now to bring Obi in and bench players like Azeez or Ajagun,we need to see what Azeez can do as well at world stage ,if he perform well it will be good addition to super eagle and create more competition,2005 team don't even have any players that has play for senior team before, most of them then are home based players and they reach final in where we discover many new players and they are in super eagles today,so let look at this way, this is a good team with lot of experience,if coach get his tactics right they will perform well, all they need is our prayers and support.

The purpose of this tournament is not all about win it but play good football and discover more quality players to under 23 and super eagles.

Thanks

@kaluik, Thanks my good friend but Siasia categorically denied such insinuations that he was responsible for his refusal to play for U20 he even said that he Sia1 personally spoke to him but he told him he need to rest and prepare for next season

and my question is, is he resting now in order to prepare for next season only to be benched again and again in inter, well he owns his life and have d right to do wot soever he feels is right for him but if am close to him i will knock some sense to his brain

@dona, I copy that, but my question is how good is a player to be a regular in your national team side while season in season out you sit on d bench i dont think both d player or SE is doing themselves any good to have him play regular in SE only to warm benches in his club side

for instance if you have a fit Messi who warm d bench for most part of d season wot do you think will be left of him

My concern is not about d FE but Joel Obi as a young talented player who need game time to harness and sharpen his God given skills. do you feel me?

Believe me with they way things are now for him in inter, he needs d FE more than d FE need him

Correction FAIR NOT FEAR,anyway the guy know what hhis doing i want to belive is not that easy to break out of big team in Europe as mildfielder, especial african players in Italy because of their non eu members of players that can play in a match but from report i got from good friend in italy inter -millan are looking into loan him out to another club french league more likely but refuse to sell him.

@no be una fault,i really and 100% agreed with you like i said , to be honest with you first time he was invited to u-20 i was surprised it turned that down,is playing gamle let hope he know what his doing,am not in anyway in support of his action ,i just my comment base on FE but ,he really need to be playing if not for u-20 then dream team, all our big stars all play in 1996, i was told he dont answer call to under 23 too, i wish i know his manager number,am not in particular in support his action ,just on FE but he shd be playing for u-23 atleast.

@bruno i totally agree that the average nigerian journalist is a big disgrace to the country.

To others who are not happy with joel obi‘s decision i think you need a rethink. The fifa under 17 & 21 are for developmental purposes. Obi is already in the senior squad so if he goes to play in the under21 squad then he will only be blocking the chances of another player being discovered.

Finally most of these guys are too old for this tournament. Take suswan for example. He was at the 2010 wafu cup and when i saw him and talked to him i knew he wasnt less than 28.
