Bay United enjoyed mixed fortunes on their lightning two-match friendly soccer trip to Gauteng at the weekend.

The PE Herald reports that the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan-based side, who top the National First Division Coast Stream, excelled by holding Wits to a 3-3 draw on Saturday.

The side gave a highly commendable performance against Premier Soccer League’s Wits, who are currently among the top teams in the Premiership.

After the exhausting clash against Wits, Bay United fielded a second-string side against the University of Pretoria and paid the price by going down 5-0.
