Earlier in the afternoon, Thanda Royal Zulu and Bay United played to a goalless draw at the Richards Bay Sports Complex in the other semifinal.
On a bumpy Seshego ground, the Cape Town side dominated the opening stages, forcing six corners in the opening 30 minutes, but conceded the opener when Breslyn Hempe handled in the box and Mongezi Bobe made no mistake from the spot.
Leopards looked good going forward in the second period with Mahlatse Maake and Grant Lunga having a busy afternoon.
Yet shortly after Sibusiso Zuma had hit the crossbar with a neat chip, Carlos das Neves’ side equalised with 20 minutes to go when substitute Jerome Ramathlakwana headed home a Roberto do Espirito Santo cross.
Leopards almost grabbed a winner at the death, but were thwarted twice by the excellent work of Vasco goalkeeper Posnett Omony.

That'Sowetan for you why refuse to give credit where they due. Benni has done and achieved more than all these players not taking away that Mphela has the highest average goal per game than all of these guys. Who can blame them for not giving Benni his credits bcos even KANU didn't call him.
