Bucs complete Fakude deal

Orlando Pirates sign David Fakude

Posted: 6 June 2011 Time: 2:28 pm

As predicted by KickOff.com, M Tigers striker David Fakude has completed his transfer to Orlando Pirates.

Fakude, who was brought to Pirates by former striker, Jerry ‘Legs of Thunder’ Skhosana, signed a three-year contract with the Premiership Champions.   Speaking to KickOff.com in Midrand at the weekend, the Tembisa-born striker says he was ready to face the challenge of playing for one of the biggest clubs in South Africa.   “It’s a dream come true to play for a team like Pirates. The players have given me a warm welcome and guys like Benson Mhlongo have also given me advice about life outside football.   “I am glad to get such a great chance of playing for a big team like Pirates and I am ready to grab the opportunity with both hands if I am given an opportunity to play next season.”   Fakude discloses that he is not related to the former Bucs player, David Fakude, who also wore the black and white jersey with pride many years ago.

Welcome to the galaxy of stars including the one who shone yesterday in Egypt even though sceptics don't want to accept that but he showed them that the opposite of what they have been saying is true. Remember they have been saying nywee nyweee Nywe Midget is not BB material...what did you see yesterday unless you were watching a different game, as usual?

Welcome to the ghosts’ ship. I hope you will have a productive 3 seasons but I fear the presence of Kroll. If his contract is renewed, please use this opportunity of signing for the only superbrand team to look for greener pastures. Kroll will never develop you to your fullest potential like he did with Mthembu, Mabena, Mxoyane and many youngsters, unless you have special talent like Andile Jali.

Let me share my applause to Benson Mhlongo for taking time to guide a new young player about life outside football. Keep it up Mhlongo and consider a forther educational training related to leadership, motivational speaker, advisor, etc. You will enjoy your achievement when you retire from soccer and especially when you continue to serve Bucs team well (sharing your responsibility with Lucky Lekgwathi)

It is time for Bucs to offload two or three strikers. I nominate Mashego and Malokase in this case. The young Mabena can be loaned out to gain some experience.

Eish mara... about Otorogu and Msowoya - From my view, these are the strong strikers but Krol needs to understand how to use them well. Unfortunately they won't get that room to show as long as desciplined Mbuyane is still fit.
We have a high expectation from Bongani Ndulula to make us proud in the next season.

I see a disaster here, how can you sign a striker in the coache's absence? hai Orphans Madoda, what if the coach does not like him or maybe they thought R2000.00 was very low that other teams can steal him, I don't know which teams maybe Black Aces. Do they think dis boy will be a solutions for them being miserable infront he will add to their waste, R2000.00 is not enough considering that Lerazor Skhosana is an agent and he took 95% of the amount.

YOu know, when is this going to Stop? KROL is obviously not the one buying this player as he does not even know if he will be around next season! You would think Khoza and company would see that KROL did well in spite of their interference, so why not first view the 'technical report' as they have said they will before deciding on contractual issues; then ask him what he needs for next season! With all due respect to David Fakude, this signing is nonsense if you ask me. Eish, this pirates of mine is like a lover who keeps cheating on you in spite of you providing her with a treble...

Let me clarify this , This striker was brought to Pirates a long time ago, about for 4 or 3 games before the end of the league, and Krol have been there and have already look at the player. As a matter of fact Pirate concluded his deal at the presence of Krol, THE PROBLEM IS KICKOFF, THIS IS AN OLD STORY, THE PLAYER WAS SIGNED FEWS weeks back!!!!!!!! KICKOFF IS JUST BEING LAZY AS USUAL!!!!!!!!

Fakude Itches For Pirates Debut
31 May 2011

Orlando Pirates striker, David ‘Anelka’ Fakude, has confirmed to the Siya crew that he is working hard at training to push for a place in the team next season.

The former M-Tigers striker’s skills are still being moulded under the watchful eyes of the Bucs technical team after he convinced them early this year that he is worth playing for the club.

Fakude is confident that with time still on his side the technical team will eventually give him an opportunity to play so that he can prove what he is capable of.

The young striker said that he is happy to see other young players at Pirates like Bongani Ndulula making progress in their careers as that is motivation in its own.

“Maybe I will play next season. As a striker I feel like I can also do what they are doing because it is good. I was scoring lots of goals (at M-Tigers) and I was the top goal scorer,” said Fakude.

But why is my team signing all these people? I thought we learnt from having players like Malokase and Mabena...Plz terminate this guy's contract and sign Mbesuma instead he's still quality and with Japhet Borges as his fitness trainer he will b back to his competitive best...Also hunt down Lelo Mbele and bring him back home plz just like u did with Isaac Chansa...
