David Mathebula will know Kaizer Chiefs fate tomorrow

Mpumalanga Black Aces midfielder David Mathebula has revealed that he will know tomorrow whether he will return to Kaizer Chiefs, adding that four other clubs are interested in signing him.

Mathebula is on loan to Aces from Chiefs and, with his contract coming to an end next month, he will get feedback from Amakhosi tomorrow on whether they want to keep him or allow him to join another team.

Speaking in an interview with KickOff.com, the former Dynamos midfielder says Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung is to communicate with him.

“I’m waiting for them, they said they will give me feedback tomorrow whether I will go back to them or not,” he says.

“I think lets wait for tomorrow then we will see what will happen, phone me tomorrow afternoon and I will let you know,” he adds.

The 27-year-old confirmed to KickOff.com that four teams, including SuperSport United, Moroka Swallows, Platinum Stars and Bloemfontein Celtic, have all expressed interest in signing him.

“They are still waiting for me as I told them that I’m still waiting for feedback from Chiefs,” he explains.

“So tomorrow I will tell them what is happening, I also gave them my contract on what I expect and it will be up to them to improve the contract or not,” he concludes.

If indeed Chiefs still wanted Mathebula's services, they would have engaged him long time ago. It's obvious Chiefs is no longer interested in Mathebula's services or maybe Chiefs management want Mathebula but the Club Coach thinks somehow different. Mathebula should just join Celtic as his style of play will perfectly suit Celtic style.

i'm sure DVD can give a much better performance than the likes of masango, lebese, ncanana, stanton lewis & gerald sibeko...

Chimps will be biased if they let Mathebula to leave them...he reminds me of Patric Mbutho in his hey day for Amaglug-glug!!!!

Ey dvd I will b very sad if they let u go bcoz u can do a lot better than most guys they have at chiefs,I believe u deserve a chance. I am big fan of yours bcz of your style of play,your intelligence n your humbleness.

honestly, i think DVD is by far the most underated player in this country but i want to speak the truth and i hope it will set some of us FREE, DVD is far better than Yende, Dladla, Masango and Lebese. We always say "chiefs dont have quality players and yet we offload the best we have. This guy is a good passer of the ball, his accuracy is amazing. I hope if chiefs doesn't take him back, he goes to SSU or Moroka Swallows. This guy can win us games wit his hands tied o his back and ball at his feet. What has Yende done for Chiefs? nothing. Yende cannot play no 10 position mahn, o thata daaiman.
