Ng'ambi: We gained a lot

Despite losing to Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup Final, Black Leopards captain Robert Ng'ambi says the team gained valuable experience to qualify for the Premiership next season.
Leopards played their hearts out, especially Ng'ambi, who is KICK OFF's star man for the match, but a lack of ‘big match temperment’ let them down, and they lost 3-1 after taking the lead in the early second half.
In an interview with KickOff.com, Ng’ambi says his team will recover quickly be ready for the Promotional Play-offs.
"It was sad the way we lost against Pirates after starting the game very well," the Malawian international says. "I think we dropped our heads after conceded the first goal. We also then lost concentration and conceded two silly goals."
“But despite the loss I think we learnt lot during the tournament and we will take all the experience to the Play-offs.
"Not all is lost as with the way we played against Pirates I am confident that the team will qualify for the Premiership next season.”
Leopards have already confirmed that they will play in the CAF Confederation Cup next season, and Ng'ambi says the trip to Africa will give the club yet more experience.
"I think the club took up a good decision to allow the team to play in Africa next season. It will be exciting experience for the club and also for most of players, who have never played in an international tournament.”
