Leopards players get cash incentives

Black Leopards players will return home for the off-season holidays much richer if they win the Nedbank Cup on Saturday. 

The winner of the Nedbank Cup gets R6-million.
 
According to a source close to the team, the players have been promised half the prize money if they beat Orlando Pirates at the Mbombela Stadium.
 
"The boss (David Thidiela) met with the players this week and promised them mouth-watering incentives if they beat Pirates on Saturday. Thidiela also promised them more money if they help the team qualify for the Premiership.”
 
Lidoda Duvha spokesperson Chief Thidiela confirms that the club had lined up incentives for the players if they beat the Mighty Buccaneers.
 
"There have always been incentives for the players in League games, but because this is a Cup Final, the incentives have been increased.”
 
Thidiela discloses that only Malawian international Harry Nyirenda will miss the Cup Final on Saturday due to suspension.

Der say incentives motivate workers to increase productivity in organization, bt I say incentives in football put players under immense pressure. Lets look into history since Mamelodi Sundowns introduced performance incentive wat hv der achieve nothing. The very some Black Chiefs der wr relegated after der management decided to introduce performance incentives. Teams lyk Crook Chips and Orlando Pirates hv a well structured performance incentive that is driven by achievement.Look at hw Moroka Swallows dd during the MTN8 de team ws playing as a unit till management decide to introduce incentive ****, wat happn a loss to Pirates.Nw im more confident dat Pirates will win dis Cup aftr wat leopards management hv decided apon.

U can promise them the team ownership together with its Bank Account coz u know pretty well dat u r asking for them to STOP a Gautrain by standing on its railwayline. So clever Thidiela is. If they fail they get no bonuses n he will be R2.5m richer at the players, expense!

Let's me remind Leopards sumthing, Pirates since August 2010 played total 42 games and lost only 5 games (including that MP Aces & Chimps fluke wins), they r Lig & MTN8 champions,Telkom runners-up and they were once Champions League champions and only in 2006 they were Champions league semi-finalists, 5 of their players play 4 BB.....gud luck Leopard Chiefs you need it......but it luk like even luck will not help 2morrow.

@ Mr man....Jimmy Tau is a VIP, a professional educated footballer who play for the best team in AFRICA...and according to information from Jimmy's PA, he will be playing golf with Kaizer Sr and few other business men tomorrow and will go for lunch with the same people @ a midday. Then after he will come home to watch a game between Barcelona and Man U late @ nite. unfortunately for tomorrow he won't be able to watch that stupid game since he's got a busy schedule

Sir, we are not lazy, its just that the story is not interesting @ all. In fact it is boring. Even one single line that says "Black Leopards players get reward to beat Orlando Pirates" was gonna be enough. Imagine if the story was about Back Leopold but and Black Leopold were not in the final or against one of the two teams in PSl. I can imagine there wouldn't be any comment under that story because we don't care about them.

The Champs will go to Mbombela to win the cup whilst some Chimps fans will be adding numbers on the few leopards faithfuls, we know Chimps players were moemish of the Nedbank cup first by having their player celebrating a goal alone when it has been adjudged offside long time, further more one of their players got Man of the Match in a Nedbank game and he said he is happy they collected all 3 points and he was feeling fabulous, then we haven't forgotten that Tau was mesmerised by Mongala he heard whistles that were not there (or was he wishing).
No matter which incentives tomorrow the cup will be on its way to GP.....

i'm a Buccaneer but i like to congratulate Jimmy Tau of Kaizer Chiefs for good season he had. My man you played well this season ,keep it up. Not forgetting Thulani Serero,Andile Jali, Happy Jele. You guys you made PSL very interesting.
