Orlando Pirates are racing against time to have both Dikgang Mabalane and Bongani Ndulula fit for the Nedbank Cup Final against Black Leopards at Mbombela Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Ndulula and Mabalane have been doing light training after picking up injuries during the League game against Golden Arrows last Saturday.
Both players failed to finish the game, with Mabalane being substituted in the first half.
Despite the injuries Ndulula promises fans that he will be fit for the Final.
“It is just a minor injury in a muscle above my knee but it is not serious and I should be fit by Saturday.”
Pirates coach Ruud Krol confirms the injury to Mabalane and says he will assess the player at training on Thursday before they travel to Nelspruit.
Krol adds that even though Daine Klate and Moeneeb Joseph have fully recovered from injury, they will not be part of the squad due to lack of match-fitness.
