Quinton Fortune is in Vietnam on trial

Posted: 10 May 2011 Time: 13:04

Former Manchester United midfielder Quinton Fortune is in Vietnam on trial with Ha Noi T&T, who campaign in the V-League.

Hanoi are the champions of the V-League, and are also home to two Brazilians and two Argentinians.   Cape Town-born Fortune, now 34, has also been talking to Samut Songkhram, who play in the Thailand Premier League.   He was recently in South Africa, and told KickOff.com that he would be willing to listen to any new offers from a PSL side, “provided they were the right offer.”   The bustling left-footed player has been out of action since turning out for his last club Doncaster Rovers in the NPower League. He has kept fit by training with his former United team-mates at the Trafford Training Centre.   Other South Africans who have played in the Far East include former Orlando Pirates player Philani Kubheka (Vietnam), Mfundo Mathonsi (Thailand), Makhosonke Bhengu (also a former Orlando Pirates player) and midfielder Sthembiso Ntombela (Hong Kong)   Thapelo Moloantoa

What a mess!!What is the sole intention of such move!to help the Vietnamese develop the game of soccer!!or is it to make money & if so,how much!!This guys is a loser from my point view,if its the 1st reason i mentioned,i believe there is a lot to do in the SA game & loads of rewards that comes with it.The Vitnamese will apreciate an individual coming from a powerhouse footballing nation like Brazil than a flop from SA via Man U.If its money that he intends to make, the question is what money did he not make whilst warming the benches of Man U.Soon whilst in that part of the world of Asia,we all will hear loud cries from him regarding racial abuse.Asians are the most rascist humans hands down!Well i used to think an African footballer's career ends at home, especially around the ages of 33 & 34!In this case, one cannot stoop so low!!

Quinton Fortune in Vietnam? Why's Quinton not retiring from football completely as a player? Quinton is he willing to demode himself to the level of playing in Vietnam? Has Quinton not made enough money out of football to sustain him and his family for next 3 decades to come? He should consider enrolling for Goalkeeping course, so that he can be employed by the NFD's Clubs.
