Wellington rings changes for Gambia

Ghana coach Orlando Wellington has made two changes to the side that lost against Nigeria in the opening game of the 2011 African Championships.

Ghana face Gambia in a game they must win to keep their title defense and World Cup hopes alive and Wellington has brought in two new faces in a bid to force the issue.

Right-back Richmond Nketia, brilliant throughout against Nigeria, will move forward into an attacking position while Samuel Kyere takes the right-back slot. The offensive midfield position has gone to Gershon Coffie, who has replaced James Bissu.

Bissu and Ebo Andoh are the two players to lose out from the first game, but whoever comes in should expect a tough game from the Gambians, who have declared they will be delighted to kill Ghana's World Cup hopes at the Dobsonville Stadium today.

Gambia coach Lamine Sarr, in need of the points as much as Ghana does, is in no doubt his players can provide the sort of performance need to knock out Ghana later today.

@Primus which cup? The cup that the Flying Eagles of Nigeria has already won? I'm sorry you will wait indefinitely if you are waiting for that cup.
