Salmon out of the Al Ahly clash

SuperSport United striker Glen Salmon will not feature in their CAF Champions League return leg against Egyptian giants Al Ahly at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday night.

Salmon tells KickOff.com that he has had a bit of bad luck when it comes to injury this season.

The forward has missed most of his clubs games this season due to a knee injury and admits that he will sit out the game against Ahly.

"I've had a bit of bad luck with injury this season; my body can't take it anymore. I have a calf injury and think that I will sit this one out. I can't force things, I don't feel up to it with this injury it keeps on coming back," he says.

It is a blow to Gavin Hunt's men, who have to win by three goals against the Egyptian side to progress to the next round, but Salmon believes that they can still do it without him.

"Yeah, definitely we have the fight in us. We should have got something out of the first game but that element of luck was not with us. We're in a much better level in terms of confidence wise," says Salmon.

I must admit that salmon is the quality together with expirience.Supersport will indeed miss his presence...

But because of the injuries,i think he has reach his sell by date. The older you get,the more the injuries you attract.Good luck thou
