SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt hopes Morgan Gould can repeat Bafana form

Gould key in Al Ahly clash – Hunt

Posted: 2011-03-28 11:42

SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt is hoping that his centre back Morgan Gould can repeat his brilliant performance against Egypt when they take on Al Ahly at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane next week.

Gould stood head and shoulders above his team mates with a stirling defensive display before Katlego Mphela netted a stoppage time winner for Bafana Bafana.

Hunt praised his team's captain for his rock solid performance at the back and said that is what Bafana lacked during the World Cup. He added that he would be thrilled if Gould can lead his charges to keeping a clean sheet in the Champions League return match against the Egyptians giants.

"I need him to marshal the defence against Ahly because we can't afford to concede," says Hunt.

Seven of the Egyptian national team players have stayed behind in South Africa to await the rest of their team mates who are due to arrive on Tuesday and head to Limpopo to set up camp.

Ahly carry a two goal advantage and know that an away goal will effectively kill off the tie against Hunt's men.

Hunt though is confident that his side can overturn the deficit to progress into the next round.

"We will try and win it but the key is not to concede. If we play the way we did in Cairo, then we will go through," says Hunt.

No way supersport can beat Ahly! They don't have a team to do that.

I beg to differ with you MR Hunt. if you play like you did in cairo then the results is going to 2-0 again and Ahly will win by the margin of 4-0.
