Vasco da Gama's Dirang Moloi, who has a groin injury, did not accompany Botswana to Chad for their crucial Afcon qualifier in N'Djamena this weekend.
Bay United keeper Modiri Marumo and the SuperSport United duo of Dipsey Selolwane and Mogogi Gabonamang are, however, in the squad that is aiming to make history.
The Zebras are on top of Group K with 13 points and need a win against Chad to book themselves a ticket to the Equatorial Guinea/Gabon finals in 2012.
An advance party to Chad have reported that the water is not good in the central African country and that temperatures are reaching more than 40 degrees.
Speaking to KickOff.com before their departure to Chad via Ethiopia, Marumo warned his teammates that it was still too early to start celebrating a trip to Equatorial Guinea/Gabon for the finals even though they top Group K.
"We have not yet qualified but it is a good feeling that we are on top of the log and so we will go to Chad with positive state of mind. Botswana has never qualified for Afcon finals and we want to be part of the history of the country by going to Equatorial Guinea and Gabon next year.
"We have won games away from home in the past and this is gives us confidence that we can do it in Chad," says the Bay keeper.
