Ghana finally has representation on the executive committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) after Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantekyie was elected unto the body in Khartoum.
Nyantekyie polled 34 votes to beat Benin's Anjorin Moucharafou who got 19 votes.
It marked the end of a tough road for the Ghana boss who had to battle first Abedi Pele for Ghana's nomination and then Moucharafou's perceived and links to Caf boss Issa Hayatou.
It ensures that Ghana which had been without a voice on the highest decision making body of CAF has one after Sam Okyere exited the stage in 1994.
