Kaizer Chiefs skipper Jimmy Tau says he disagrees with perceptions that the Soweto Derby on Saturday is the League title decider for this season.
Orlando Pirates are on 45 points, while Chiefs are two points off the pace ahead of Amakhosi's clash against the Buccaneers at the FNB Stadium. Tau says: "No, no, no, I beg to differ. We don't want to be derailed by the misconception that if we win on Saturday the League is over. There is still eight games to play after the Derby and the Cup games in between will cause some disruption in terms of your rhythm.

The former Orlando Pirates defender also deviates from playing down his former team's chances, despite Bucs' injury and suspension worries. "We have won against them in the past two games and it augurs well for our team in terms of confidence going into the game. But it doesn't make the task easier. We know Pirates are a good team and we respect them for that. "I expect a tough match, because there is a lot of history attached to it, but most importantly for us is that we are title contenders and two points behind Pirates so there are lots of expectations from the supporters. It makes for an interesting challenge," Tau adds.
