Having signed Bafana Bafana midfielder Macbeth Sibaya this week, Moroka Swallows have received further good news with their Malian striker Cisse Cheik Bouganta receiving his international clearance from Swaziland.
Cisse, who signed with Swallows in January, is set to make his debut when the Dube Birds take on Maritzburg United in a League match at Dobsonville Stadium on Saturday. The striker's availability will take the pressure off Siyabonga Nomvete who has carried the goal scoring responsibility up to now this season. Speaking to KickOff.com, Bouganta expressed his delight at the prospect of making his first appearance for Swallows this weekend. "I am very excited. It has always been my wish to play in South Africa and I am very grateful to Swallows' management and the coach for granting this opportunity of playing for such a big club. It is really a great honour to play alongside someone like Siyabonga Nomvete and I am looking forward to a great stay at the club." Swallows' manager Bennett Mtshali said the former Malian Under-23 striker is now available for selection after receiving his international clearance. Swallows coach Gordon Igesund also hinted during the week that might give Lerato Chabangu his debut for Birds when they take on the People's Choice on Saturday.
