Mamelodi Sundowns fire coach Antonio Lopez Habas

Posted: 5 February 2011 Time: 12:54

Mamelodi Sundowns and coach Antonio Lopez Habas have parted ways after mutual agreement.

Ian Gorowa has since been appointed caretaker coach until the end of the season.   Harris Choeu and Harold ‘Jazzy Queen’ Legodi have been appointed as assistant coaches.   Habas’ departure follows an announcement earlier that the Brazilians President, Patrice Motsepe, has summoned the club supporters for a meeting at Chloorkop today.   Sundowns supporters have been reported as being ‘gatvol’ and were demanding Habas and General Manager Kenneth Makhanya be fired.   More news to follow...

U can have the best material, but once u change builders every half a season, u'll never build a good house! & the truth is that he's fired, but twisted for his reputation!

I'm afraid Sundowns is becoming Zimdowns, appointing Gorowa will make matters worse.too many Zimbabweans and they keep on appointing them even to lead them as Head coach.Didn't I heard that the supporters wanted a local coach should Habas be shown the door.

@kaizerbell, you obviously know best about 'twisting' the truth.

@Tebogo, Gorowa is local mos? Unless you mean Mash-doo who is based just on the border of Limpopo and Zim is not local either. lol!

Look he's not my ideal choice either, but Trott is worse and busy milking Patrice.

Rather we drift ashore gradually, than be steered nowhere slowly.

People who run their mouths without checking facts are really annoying. Swetys a short trip to google would have told you Gorowa is Zimbabwean! Then you go on about how stupid KC fans are- NX.
