Ghana unhappy with CHAN facilities

Posted: 4 February 2011 Time: 15:06

Ghana has complained about the facilities available to them at the Championships of African Nations with senior delegation member George Afriyie questioning the award of the tournament to Sudan in the first place.

The Ghana team who begin their title bid against South Africa on Sunday say the facilities available to them at their Wad Madani base is not up to scratch.

"The facilities are not the best and I don't know why CAF would award a tournament like this here. It's not the best but we will manage. We can't use this as an excuse but I am disappointed with the facilities available to the team," Afriyie said.

Ghana are bidding to go one step better at the tournament having finished as runners up ti Congo DR in the inaugural tournament in Ivory Coast two years ago.

you are complaining about facilities, when the tournament him self are for 100% home based players.all the players you took to Sudan plies their trade in Ghana, and most of the facilities were the players in Ghana, plays is even worse than the one they have there in Sudan.where you expecting the competition to be held in Wembley stadium or what? Mr man better stop complaining, coz is too early to complain, and do not use facilities to complain should in case your teams fails and come home with nothing.
