The match, initially scheduled to be played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, will now be played at the Cedric 'Sugar Ray' Xulu Stadium. The kick-off time remains 15h30. The change has been effected after an inspection by the Premier Soccer League's Chief Operations Officer Prof. Ronnie Schloss concluded that the pitch would not be ready in time as a result of the cricket match played on it in the last week. Usuthu hit great form at the back end of 2010, defeating both Black Aces and Mamelodi Sundowns, but their first match of the New Year saw them slip to a 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Ajax Cape Town. Arrows were also defeated in their first match of 2011, going down 3-1 away to Santos in Cape Town. Abafana Bes'thende have now gone five matches without a win in the league and will need to rediscover their early-season form if they are to retain their place in the top half of the table. In head-to-head stats, AmaZulu and Arrows have met 12 times in the league since 2001/02. Abafana Bes'thende have won six games to Usuthu's four, with just two league matches between the sides ending in draws.

Cant agree with u more, dis is indeed bull sh**t. De stadium had 2 be closed 4 abt a month 2 change de grass 2 suit one match of cricket n now soccer will have 2 make do with dat cricket grass. How sad a Durban derby cant be played @ de staduim.
If i may add dis derby has a potential 2 be great, however ma view is dat both Amazulu n Arrows including de media r not doing enough 2 market dis game n dat is a pity.
