Aces go for Dolezar

Mpumalanga Black Aces appoint Paul Dolezar

Posted: 30 December 2010 Time: 4:41 pm

Mpumalanga Black Aces have appointed Frenchman Paul Dolezar as coach, the club announced on Thursday.

The 64-year-old will undertake his fourth job in the Absa Premiership, having also coached Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs and Bloemfontein Celtic.

Dolezar will attempt to pull Black Aces away from the relegation zone after the side won just one of their 12 Absa Premiership matches to date, and sit second-bottom in the table.

He had enjoyed success at all the clubs he has coached so far. His last post in South African football was at Bloemfontein Celtic, where he won the Supa8 in his first weeks on the job but was fired after eight months.

He won the Absa Premiership as coach of Sundowns in 2000 and had a second spell in charge of the club from 2003 to 2005.

He was twice a Rothmans Cup winner with Kaizer Chiefs, where he first worked in South Africa in 1997.

Dolezar will be the third coach this season to lead AmaZayoni after the club have sacked Savvas Agiomamitis and then Neil Tovey in a matter of months.

I think we must stop saying Chiefs is the best team in Africa. What major cup in Africa have they won? None. We all should appreciate that the best teams in Africa are Al Ahly and TP Mazembe. Teams that have proved themselves over and over again that they are the best. Chiefs is just a crappy team supported by township kids. They got nothing to show to back the claim that they are the best. Pirates atleast have something to display... anyone who believes Chiefs is the best team in Africa please justify your claim with concrete tangible facts. Not township yada yada..

I think P. Dolezar is great crowd puller and an entertainer. He has won a league with Sundowns, Supa 8 with Celtic, and twice Rothmans cups with Kazier Chiefs. MUSA: check your facts brother and be objective in your views. BOYFROMTVTRUST: AS I agree with you that we would really wish that RObert GUmede buys this team with his financial muscle, however I do not agree with your emotional none factual comments about Paul in comparison with Neil. I do not think it is in the best interest of this country to be racist, or appear to be one my friend. thinkb4write: I think you should do the thinking because you are the one who appear not be having applied you brains or your readings is clouded by jealousy and hatred towards one of the BIGGEST teams in AFRICA. Well factually, just to jogg your memory, Chiefs has proven itself already in AFRICA, it won a now defunct MANDEAL CUP that was contested in the continent. Musa never said that CHiefs is the best in AFrica but BIGGEST TEAM IN AFRICA, though debatable you can't fault by so saying because they are a big team that has huge following locally and in the Southern Region.

WELCOME MR. RUBBER FACE.

Well wrong move by Aces and good move by Dolezer, he's going to cash in too much as Aces are desperate.
Cappy from players Union should start preparing cases to be heard at the PSL Dispute Resolution Chamber, as Dolezer is about to release many players to create spaces for players from his agency.
Do Aces Management believe that Dolezer cares about saving Aces from definate relegation? Dolezer is only here to make money! He wont save Aces from definate relegation but will further drag the Club to relegation woes.
I still believe that had Aces considered the likes of Styles Phumo, Kenny Ndlazi, Sheppard Murape, Major David Bright, et cetera, they would have a chance of avoiding the axe.
Dolezer has been out of our local football for ages, he wont survive and he knows. He's only interested in making money. I so wish the Home Affairs Department can delay the issuing of Doleza's work permit.
