Musona not leaving Chiefs … for now

Knowledge Musona not leaving Kaizer Chiefs for Russia

Posted: 29 December 2010 Time: 09:31 am

Knowledge Musona says he won’t be moving to Russia as has been speculated in the media, but has rather set his sights on the bigger leagues in Europe.

The Kaizer Chiefs marksman, dubbed the ‘Smiling Assassin’ for his goalscoring ability, tells KICK OFF that he has no plans to leave the Glamour Boys in the near future either.

Musona, who arrived at Naturena at the beginning of the season, has been in terrific form, prompting a report that he could be leaving for Russia – but the 20-year-old denies this.

“I will move when the time is right, but now I have to focus on the team I am playing for, which is Kaizer Chiefs,” he says. “Time will tell when I leave Chiefs, but it has to be at the right time. I don’t want to go sit on the bench somewhere though, so I must prove myself in the PSL and then make a move at the right time.

“I’m aiming to be the best here and I don’t know anything about the Russia thing. I think I will do well in France, Spain and England some day. With my ability, I know I can make it in one of these leagues, but only when the time is right.” * Our latest edition (issue 396) is a monthly and is filled with great features, as well as a competition which could see you win a brand new Toyota Auris.

Can some please stand up and explain to us, Africa and the internatinal community why Kaizer Chiefs is pro-claimed the best team in Mzansi or Africa. what have they achieved to claim such.

Have they dominated PSL championship? No
Have they conqured African champions? No
Have they exported the greatest player? No
Have they rated the best brand in SA by superbrands? No

Then if all the above answers NO, then what have they achieved as a brand.

According to CAF results the best team or club in africa is TP Mazembe followed by Al Arly of Egypt.@ number 9 is Dynamos of Zimbabwe.No south african team in the top 10 big boys of Africa.Big teams in africa dont play in preliminaries.Chiefs is big only in South Africa.

You can go and hang, chiefs is the best team in Africa. Sunkuku fans and Piepipi fans must go to the nearest hell. Chiefs won't participate in that crapy competition called CAF. Stop comparing that pathetic CAF competition to EUFA competition. If the standard in this crap won by a certain crapy team back in 1995 was the same as European championship, chiefs would have won it long time ago.

King,If you are doubting if Chiefs is the amongst the best of the best in Africa all you need to do is go into your soccer library instead of wasting our time with your stupid questions. Am not certain what the relevance of your questions are to Musona's article.

Njabzah. Musona is at least 20 years younger than Teko(LOL) so i think he must fancy his chances of making it overseas. Teko at age 20 was nowhere and only rose into prominence in his late twenties and the jury is still out on his real age.

Can some please stand up and explain to us,......

@ King - Let me first start by acknowledging that Chiefs is not dorminant in the League. Sundowns is! the records speaks for themselves!
Although it is the main factor,the league is not the sole determining factor when you want to see if a team is big.
Among other things:
* Popularity
* Game Attendance
* Consistency
* Success (on and off the field)
* Professionalism
* How do people perceive the Brand
* etc, etc

and we will still make sure that we don't end a season empty handed like Chibuku/Ntakunyisa FC he he he he he he

just cannot believe that your "recent friend" is going through a dry season for the 3rd season , maybe you should talk, console OR motivate him because my team is heading for ABSA league this time.

At Naturena we don’t celebrate new signings like brainless fans zeChibuku FC & Sundummies FC
At Naturena we don’t boast about mining policies,minerals.

Bring it on brother......We're focused on the Championship now

@ King:

*Popularity - The media always write about something that makes money for them. Which team is more popular in SA? Which team has afforded to even produce its own Magazine on a monthly basis for more than 15 years non stop?
* Game attendance-Which team attracts more support home and away?
* Consistency- Check the head to head stats since NPSL 1985 - one team has dominated all teams in this category.
* Sucsess - 1985 - 2010 ( number of titles won - both league and cups)
* Professionalism - Ask all present and past players, coaches,media,foreign visitors, which team is the most professionally run team in SA.

We can go on and on and on!

Who do you see as the most successful team in SA? I hope you are not thinking about that useless 6-1 team from Orlando. Nobody even knows of it overseas.

What is the one team that has beaten the European Manchaster Utd? Chiefs
What is the one team that kindly donated our Vodacom cup to a useless European Man City? Pistol FC
What is the one team that embarrassed themselves by inviting Barcelona and got a hiding? Sunflops.

What more do you want from us?
The achievements go on and on. Please don't tell us about that fading star you got before PSL was even established.
