Shabba not going to Everton – Motaung

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala not going to Everton

Posted: 15 December 2010 Time: 11:49 am

Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung has shot down reports linking midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala to English Premiership side Everton.

Recent overseas media reports suggested that Shabba was on his way to the Toffees to replace his Bafana Bafana team-mate Steven Pienaar who is reported to be on his way to join Tottenham Hotspur next season.   Speaking to KickOff.com, Motaung termed the media report linking the midfielder to England as a 'joke'.   "The boy scores a goal during the World Cup and all of sudden he is going overseas. After six months, he scores against Orlando Pirates and now he is going to Everton. This is a joke made up by some journalists and it is unfair to the player."   Tshabalala is set to return back to Chiefs when Amakhosi travel to Limpopo to play Bidvest Wits in their League game at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.   _quote Tshabalala missed his club's last game against Free State Stars as his mother passed away recently.   Amakhosi supporters in Limpopo are already excited about prospect of seeing their favourite team in action in the province for second time this season.   Chiefs played Santos in the Telkom Knockout Cup semi-final at the Peter Mokaba Stadium last month and emerged winners.   Amakhosi fan Machaka Masilo from Botlokwa in Polokwane said they are already gearing up for the Phefeni Glamour Boys arrival in their own town on Saturday.   "We showed against Santos that people in Limpopo are hungry for more PSL action in the province and we are very excited that Chiefs have rewarded us with another game."

Shabba is the only modern winger in SA he is not competing even in BB so its not supprising those journalists said what they said because the guy is too good for PSL...he needs to go shine in either England or Spain

At its best!....y didnt u call his agent? ....or try to get a comfirmation from everton if they really want him???....wat do u expect bobby to say if he hasnt received the offer????.....and the report that this story is based on is misleading cos it said 'everton preparing a £2.5 milion to buy chiefs midfielder'....so if they are still preparing it how can bobby know?....stop being tjatjarag and give us real news!

Fat-face Boby depriving the player of an opportunity to pride his career abroad. What has Chiefs turned to these days? In the past we knew playing for Chiefs opens chances to trade play overseas. See Dr Khumalo, Shoes, Fanie Madida, etc. Now players are stuck once they sign on dotted lines.

Its not a Joke to the foolish Makhosikazi. The World cup is a big stage , if he scored a goal he is the best in the whole world, if he scores against Pirates he is the greatest player in the whole world , a legend. He he he he he!!!!!! Makhosikazi!!

Let me help Amakhosikazi, Bobby is simple saying scoring in the world cup or against the best team does not me you are a star, you have arrived. Nyawana is just an ordinery player and Everton is not even talking to the Farmboy u Bobby about this player.

One average left winger Nyawana in the country, scored lucky goal in 2010WC and against Pirates and now he is entitled to a move overaseas.

Bobby is actually saying Kick off is a JOKE, well i think i would like to agree with him but he must bear in mind that He is a joke himslef and he is a manager to a jokie team.

SHABBA is going no where, even Sundowns does n't want this one leg player.

Just because they have exported a number of players in the past, now they think they can do the same with their average team.

Chiefs is living in the past. Shabba is far from International standards. How can a player, play 3 games at the world cup and the only thing he is remember with a luck goal.

Shabba i have nothing against you, its just that when i played for Chiefs players like you used to sit at home.

People stop attacking Bobby. He's just stating the facts. The boy is not yet ready for everton or any other team in the english premiership. I'm still waiting for a day when struck the ball with his right foot.

I fully agree with you. There is no match for Siphiwe Tshabalala is the PSL. He way too good to play in this league. It will be a crime to football if Tshabalala does not get a European deal. How good does a player have to be to play in Europe? The man deserves a place in the top 3 leagues.
