Stars beat Black Leopards

Free State Stars beat Black Leopards 2-1 away from home in an Absa Premiership match on Saturday.

Leopards tried to get onto the score sheet from early on, but the visitors absorbed their pressure well.

Stars managed to penetrate in the 30th minute, when Maluleke’s back pass was intercepted by Diyo Sibisi, who sent a long cross to an unmarked November who headed home from inside the box.

Leopards had numerous chances from then on, but luck was not on their side, and eventually Stars made it 2-0 in the 60th minute.

The second goal came from another counterattack, with Sibisi again the provider. The Stars man pulled the Leopards defence out to the right, and shot a cross to the far post for a lone Mbuyane to head in.

Maluleke went some way to make up for his earlier mistake when he sent a cross into the box for Ramavhale to head into the far left corner.

The result takes Stars to 8th on the table with 24 points, Leopards staying rooted to the bottom on 14.

i think it is high time leopards fire bobby solomons, he seems to have run out of ideas, there is a good squad at leopards and i only think that players doesn't like bobby, look at what the team did to sundowns with the assistant coach on the bench. we n=know for a fact that leopards survive with hiring and firing of a coach.

The coach did the same thing with Wits, the second round he started loosing every single game like he's doing now and they did what teams do. Remember the coach ain't got no stake in the team, it will get relegated and he'll just walk away and find another one. There are many things at stake here, gone will be the monthly grants, not to mention the economic injection the games bring when playing at home. There are good players at Leopards, but he either doesn't field them or he uses them as substitutes, players like Ngammbi are world class. Actually the team was doing far better in his absence and he should do the honourable thing and resign himself.
