Adamu's email account hacked

Posted: 2010-11-05 14:42

Suspended Fifa executive Committee member Amos Adamu's email account has been hacked into.

The Nigerian football administrator is under investigation by Fifa following a Sunday Times a cash for votes sting, but there appears to be no end to his troubles.

Adamu sent an sms message to friends during the week with the message: “Hello, this is Amos Adamu, the following account . . . has been hacked into. Someone has broken into my account.

“Anyone asking for money on my behalf is lying. Please do not send money to anyone. It is 419. Thank you.”

Adamu becomes the second high profile Nigerian sports personality to be impersonated.

Early this year, former Nigeria coach Shuaibu Amodu's cell phone number was cloned, and used to solicit money from unsuspecting friends.

Adamu, stop creating lame excuses.Nobody hacked your email account. You are trying in vain to creat a way to escape your silly crime. If you are that sharp and not too selfish, why didnt you send an agent to represent you in that deal atleast if they caught him you can deny but you went on your own out of your greed to get the bribe to your pocket. We all know that these crimes also happen with Whites and even the present President Blatter or is he telling me that he depends ONLY on his salary as the President of FIFA? Caital "NO".When a whiteman wants to give or take bribe they well paint the word "Bribe" to "Lobbying" cos they know English word, but when a black man wants to take Bribe or give bribe like them, they will use a Thunder Wave shaking English words and Headline and call it "Corruption" or "Bribe". Stupid Adamu You should have acted well and clear your route well to avoid silly implication.Anyway its your SINS and PAINS you inflicted on 150 mIllion football loving Nigerians that are throwing you up and down. You better die and rest.

Noel: 2010-11-05 18:07

@oka! my brother you seem to forget that 419 plays on the greed of the victims. So if you are not a greedy person, always looking for the fast buck, you will never fall for 419.

The results of an investigation into World Cup bidding, which could harm England's 2018 bid, have been presented to Fifa.

BBC Panorama have already contacted world football's governing body and individual members about the findings of their investigations, it was confirmed on Friday.

News of the latest development will cause further worry to England 2018 World Cup bid leaders that their campaign is being damaged by Britain-based media investigations.

Two Fifa executive committee members have already been suspended following a Sunday Times undercover sting, and the fact that others have now been asked by Panorama for responses to their investigation is likely to infuriate world football's top brass.

A Panorama spokesman said: "We have contacted Fifa and individual executive committee members regarding our findings. We are currently awaiting a response."

Former sports minister Richard Caborn said the BBC should send all the evidence Panorama have uncovered to Fifa's independent ethics committee immediately - rather than deliver shock revelations when the programme is screened just three days before the vote for the 2018 and 2022 tournaments.

Evidence
England's bid team have been doing all they can to limit the potential damage to their cause, with chief executive Andy Anson having visited BBC director general Mark Thompson this week to express fears that the investigation could fatally harm their bid.

Caborn, formerly ex-Prime Minister Gordon Brown's World Cup bid ambassador, said: "If Panorama or any other media have any evidence of any wrongdoing they should immediately refer that to the Fifa ethics committee so that it can be examined by the independent panel.

"Whilst I agree that newspapers and television have every right to investigate they should not be used in a selfish way for circulation or viewing figures and damaging the England bid.

"The importance of the England bid for ordinary fans is considerable and therefore any evidence should be referred to the new ethics committee immediately."

Bid leaders already admit that the recent Sunday Times investigation into Fifa members has caused "significant damage" to their campaign for 2018 and are worried that the Panorama programme will intensify the backlash against them.
@Adamu.Your story should have been framed earlier enough.NO TIME,GAME OVER.

Before the teams emerge at Anfield on Sunday, Carlo Ancelotti will have given plenty of thought to stopping the Liverpool captain.

Steven Gerrard scored a hat-trick in the Europa League on Thursday night as Napoli were brushed aside, Liverpool's third win of the season, and Ancelotti knows we will have to be alert to prevent a repeat tomorrow.

'He is playing in a very dangerous position for us, a little bit behind Torres and we have to control his position during the game because he will be able to give final passes for Torres and be dangerous when he shoots from distance,' Ancelotti summarised.

'I think it's very important for us to maintain a compact shape and don't give him the possibility to play with space. It's important Mikel can control his position but also the other midfielders have to support him.

'[Gerrard] is one of the best players in the world, when you can manage the best players, it is easier to win. I don't know him as a person, I think he is a good man, but I would like to manage him because I managed a lot of fantastic players and he is in the list of the best players.'

Asked whether he may be a transfer target, the Italian was quick to dismiss any rumours.

'No, he is not on our list,' he said. And if he was? 'It was impossible to buy him because Liverpool didn't want to sell.'

Ancelotti believes such homegrown players as Gerrard or our own John Terry are vital to dressing room morale.

'Gerrard knows very well the tradition, the history of the club,' he explained. 'He is happy to wear the shirt, for this reason it's important for the other players, that [they] really think to be a Liverpool player.

'It is the same with Terry, it was the same with [Paolo] Maldini, they are a very good example for new players who come, to show the right way, the right behaviour you have to use when you play for Liverpool, for Milan or for Chelsea.'

The aim for Chelsea now is to repeat last season's win at Anfield, which saw us take a huge stride to regaining the Premier League title. Our defence has so far gone smoothly, and Ancelotti attempted to explain why.

'Now we are doing better against the teams where last year we had problems', he said. 'Compared to last season, we lost to Aston Villa away, we lost against Wigan and this year we won, we drew against Blackburn last season, so we are doing better there and if we are able to maintain the same results against the top teams that will be fantastic.'

You can find out if we can right here on the Chelsea website from 4pm on Sunday.

Siasia advises Mikel to quit Chelsea - mtnfootball.com

New Nigeria coach, Samson Siasia, has slammed English Premier League champions Chelsea for destroying the attacking instincts of midfielder Mikel Obi, who he showcased as a creative player at the 2005 FIFA Under-20 World Cup.

The 23-year-old Mikel, who was five years ago adjudged as the second best player at the Under-20 World Cup behind Lionel Messi, is now expected to play a big role in the Super Eagles under Siasia.

“The system in Chelsea actually destroyed Mikel’s game. Mikel is an offensive player, but when he moved to Chelsea, they changed him because they had a better player offensive wise like Frank Lampard who can score goals,” Siasia told MTNFootball.com in an exclusive interview.

“I don’t think he is playing in his natural position because we all saw what Mikel played in 2005 and everybody loved him for what he did, he can keep the ball and create chances for the strikers to score goals.

“That was why Chelsea actually gave him a contract, but getting there they had two top players, Lampard and Michael Ballack. Lampard scores goals and so what (Jose) Mourinho did was to bring Mikel back because how many goals has Mikel scored? He brought him back so that Lampard and Ballack played offensive.”

Siasia told MTNFootball.com that Mikel will have to do more going forward to become a world beater.

“Mikel is a fantastic player, but if you want to be a great player, you have to take risks, do something extra. As a defensive midfielder, you do not have to do much; you just win the ball and pass to the other player. The offensive player takes on more responsibilities,” said the new Eagles coach.

“(Michael) Essien scores goals from defensive positions, why can’t Mikel take the kind of chances that Essien takes? If you don’t shoot, you will never score. You keep passing those short *****, but sometimes you need to take a little bit of risk. That is what is missing in Mikel’s game.”

The Nigeria coach would even suggest Mikel quit Stamford Bridge if it would be impossible for him to be a lot more offensive.

“He has to start playing more offensive to become the Mikel we knew. But if it would be difficult to change the way he is playing, he has to move to another club,” Siasia said.
