Ebo Mends insists his job is safe

Kumasi Asante Kotoko coach Ebo Mends claims he does not feel his job is under threat after losing the all important meeting against Hearts of Oak.

The 0-1 loss which was Kotoko’s third of the season has not greatly damaged Kotoko’s title aspirations but it has affected Mends’ standing in the eye of the fans who made their disappointment clear after the game.   But Mends told KickOffGhana.com he feels talk about his future at this stage will not do much for the Porcupine warriors.

“I will not take that. My job is not under threat,” Mends fumed “There are three things in the game of football; you win, draw or lose. It is unfortunate that we have lost on two occasions at home.

“That does not mean I have to lose my job. The league is still ongoing. We are all down. Nobody is happy. We will prepare and face our next game no matter what”   Whether he gets the chance to lead them again for that game remains the big question now.
