Aleni Lebyane went for goal in the seventh minute, letting fly at Francis Chansa with a powerful left-footed shot. The Aces keeper managed to track the ball and did well to stand his ground and made the save look easy.

Aces were forced to substitute keeper Chansa in the 67th minute as he was suffering with cramps, and losing Chansa was to prove costly for the home team.
Twelve minutes from time, just as he was to be substituted, Soki scored Stars second goal. Aces did not properly clear a Stars attack and when the ball fell to Soki he hit it with all his power past substitute keeper Walter Khumalo in the 78th minute.
