Tom Saintfiet still waiting on Zimbabwe coaching job
Saintfiet slips back into Namibia

Tom Saintfiet has resurfaced in Namibia while the wrangle about his appointment as Zimbabwe’s national team coach continues.
The Belgian, who absconded to Zimbabwe last month in a bid to wrest that country’s senior national team coaching post from caretaker coach Norman Mapeza, was expelled from Zimbabwe for not having the required paperwork to work there.
At the time Saintfiet had reportedly gone to seek refuge in South Africa, then resurfaced in Botswana, but has since found his way back to Namibia.
The 37-year-old angered the Namibia Football Association by going behind their back in his secret negotiations with the Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) technical committee, and then issuing disparaging remarks about the status of the game in Namibia.
Saintfiet’s appointment in Zimbabwe is stymied as the Department of Immigration in Zimbabwe reportedly advised Zifa president Cuthbert Dube that they require a letter from the Namibian Football Association, confirming the termination of their contract with Saintfiet, as part of the process to deal with his application for a Zimbabwean work-permit.
The NFA, however, maintains that neither Saintfiet nor Zifa have contacted them for a letter yet.
