Togo suspension put on hold
Posted: 2010-10-13 10:04
The Fifa Emergency Committee has accepted the request of the Togolese Football Association to extend the deadline to hold elections of the FTF until November 6, 2010 at the latest.
This decision has been taken as the President of the FTF Interim Committee, General Seyi Mémène, will be out of the country in the coming weeks for medical reasons.
However, the Emergency Committee has made it clear that if elections are not held by November 6 for whatever reason, the FTF will be automatically suspended.
In addition, the FTF has been requested to send Fifa a new schedule for the elections as soon as possible.
