The Wednesday night games affected are the Soweto Derby between Moroka Swallows and Kaizer Chiefs, that was due to be played at Dobsonville Stadium, and Orlando Pirates vs Mpumalanga Black Aces, which was to be played at Soccer City, as well as SuperSport United vs Ajax Cape Town as Lucas Masterpieces Stadium.
Professor Ronnie Schloss tells KickOff.com that the three matches will be played at a later date, depending on who reaches the Final.
“If the clubs had played in mid-week it would have meant they play three matches in six days, which is not an ideal situation ahead of an important semi-final tie,” Schloss says.
Chiefs will host Pirates on Sunday afternoon at Soccer City in the second leg of their semi-final, that is balanced at 1-1, while Swallows will welcome Ajax to Dobsonville on Saturday.
