Marimo not getting the boot…yet

Free State Stars manager Rantsi Mokoena has shot down rumours that that claim management is not impressed with coach Sunday Marimo Chidzambga's performance after a goalless draw against Orlando Pirates in their League match at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday night.
Reports doing the rounds were that management were planning to make Themba Sithole head coach after Marimo failed to pick up a win in two League games.
However, Mokoena said that this was not true and added that even if they were not impressed, they were going to give the mentor a more few games before they take a decision.
"We know that we have a bad name for firing coaches but with this one it is too early. The team played well in both League games and we are hoping to see better results coming after the Pirates draw.
"We had chances against Pirates but we failed to convert them and a draw was a fair result for us," he said.
Since his arrival, Marimo has guided the team to the final of the Old Mutual Cup that was played recently at Botshabelo Stadium. They lost 1-0 to Bloemfontein Celtic. That was followed by goalless draws in the League games against Santos and Pirates.
