Zobel slams Birds' 'big heads'

Moroka Swallows coach Rainer Zobel says though most of his players did well in a 3-2 loss to Ajax Cape Town, others are big- headed.
"Some players are big headed and it is about time they come down to earth. This is a team and not a group of individuals. We cannot afford to have players making big mistakes that should not even happen. To score two goals against a good side like Ajax shows that we have great potential but then to give away three goals like that is not good.
"A lot of my players did well and tried their best, but others are just too big headed. I do not understand why a player will want to do something special instead of sticking to the basics and do what they are capable of doing. It was just those individual mistakes by certain players that cost us the match," he said after the match.
Zobel also was not happy with the penalty that was awarded to Ajax after the referee Victor Hlungwani felt that Ashraf Hendricks has handled the ball inside the box.
"That was never a penalty; it only hit Ashraf in the chest, but it was given as a penalty."
The German mentor also praised his Georgian import, Giorgi Nergadze who made his debut against the Urban Warriors.
"He did well and had a good debut for us. I am very happy with his contribution. However to be honest most of my players did well and tried their best on the day."
It was the Georgian who brought the Birds back in the game with a header in the 40th minute when he nodded home a corner kick from Keegan Ritchie.
"Although he made that header, Morgan (Shivambu) – who came on as a substitute for Ramahlwe Mphahlele - touched the ball on its way to the net and I think it was Morgan`s goal." says Zobel.
