Vasco test for Arrows

Golden Arrows will go up against League rookies Vasco da Gama for the first time when the teams meet at the Chatsworth Stadium today.
Kick-off is at 15h00.
Arrows got their League campaign off to a disappointing start when they were beaten 2-0 by Kaizer Chiefs in late August.
The result has left Abafana Bes'thende in 14th place on the log – certainly not the kind of territory that new coach Zoran Filipovic will want to see his team in.
The KwaZulu-Natal side, therefore, will want to get their league campaign up and running with a home win. Last season, Arrows were not particularly impressive at home, winning just four of their 15 matches.
Vasco da Gama also suffered a defeat in their first League outing, going down 2-1 at home to Orlando Pirates.
Despite the defeat, coach Carlos Das Neves will take heart from his side's promising showing and the good form showed by veteran striker Sibusiso Zuma, who netted Vasco's goal.
The Cape side are placed 12th in the log – probably a standing that they would be very satisfied with if they could retain it throughout the season.
