Ngwenya vows to bounce back

Posted: 2010-09-07 07:05

Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Manqoba Ngwenya says he is not ready to give up his soccer career and is confident he will find a new team soon after failing to agree on financial terms with Vasco Da Gama.

Ngwenya who endured tough times at Sundowns with no regular action is now back in Johannesburg and training on his own after his much publicized move to Cape Town failed to materialise.

Speaking to KickOff.com, Ngwenya assures his fans that he still has a lot to offer and will not be lost to the game anytime soon.

"I was looking forward to playing for Vasco but couldn't agree on certain things and now I am back in Johannesburg and training on my own. I am not ready to give up and my manager is working on something and hopefully things will come right soon.

"I still have lot to offer in football and believe I can deliver more than what I have already given to the game. I am waiting for my chance to come back again and repay the people who have supported me through thick and thin by producing good football," he adds.

To me as a Sandawana supporter, you remain a Sandawana even if you can go join any other team except that one with bronze colours disguised as gold. The moments were brief, but they were unforgatable, your starring role in our 4th PSL Championship was just unmatched that season, never even in a single day doubt your prowess and talent, its there in abundance, it just need correct narturing and i hope soon than latter to see that happening.

Shaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaakes..............

The one and the only.......!!!!

This is the unfortunate scenario which wud be experienced by players moving from Downs. Is either u agree to a hefty salary cut or u rot at home. Hopefully u'll get a team soon Shakes coz u r still fresh and young 2 disappear. Discipline is not a problem for u. All the best in ur search...

These players have a problem. you stay out for two season without starting a game and you are happy?.. You just have yourself to blame Manqoba. You should have moved from that team 3 seasons ago when chiefs needed you and also plenty other teams. but you decided to stay there because the "SUNFLOPS" said you are part of their plans. AND WHERE ARE YOU NOW??????

You can tell that the guy isn't desparate, he rejected Vasco's offer because it was not financially viable for him, unlike those leaving the Bronze and black, they take anything since they earn hand to mouth salaries..Hehhehehheheheh!!!!!

Am 1 person who don't believe teams kills one's future as I had 1 of the players like Frank Makua at Chiefs who were unfortunate with coaches coming and going. This guy should have been released as this was a case for 98% of time at Downs, befor scara error at Chiefs he should have joined Chiefs because Coaches who utilised Feutumba at Downs was unable to convert this boy to such role. Mark my word, if you don't want to move from being good and be ordinary Chiefs is an option, you will revive your career given the Professionalism that exist there..

Mreva: 2010-09-08 11:18

It by sadnes that this talent go to waste like this, bt not that Downs kill ur soccer career, no no no.u did this to urself.
1.How can u sign a contract with a team that hasnt play u fo 2 season, what wer u thinking?
2.Ur body language is telling us somthing else, while u still saying u ar stll hungry to play.
3.U shuld have moved a long time ago seeng that u dnt get enough game time @ Downs, bt u choze to stay for the lov of money
BUT frm all that i've said above, u ar a gud player, u jst hav to pick up ur socks wher ever u ar goin' nd gud luck to ur future
