'Computer' – Chiefs impressive, but ...

Kaizer Chiefs legend Vusi Lamola says he is impressed with the squad his former club have assembled this season, but says there is still room for improvement.

‘Computer’, speaking at a function honouring Siphiwe Tshabalala in Soweto last night, also believes Amakhosi will be a force to be reckoned with this season once everyone hits peak physical fitness.

“Chiefs have been impressive without a doubt. I believe we have assembled a very good team capable of more silverware to Naturena this season,” he says in reference to the likes of Sithembiso Ngcobo, Siyabulela Songwiqi and Steven Ncanana.

“The guys look physically fit. One can tell though that some players are still not yet 100% match fit and the team should get better as the season progresses.”

Lamola was also full of praise for Tshabalala, and says the fact that coach Vladimir Vermezovic is using him in a more central role will work out well for Chiefs.

“He can take players on and can also score goals. I see the coach has been using him in a central role this season which I think is going to benefit the team,” he is quoted on the club’s official website.

Chiefs started the season with a good 2-0 League win over Golden Arrows, and will face Orlando Pirates in the MTN8 semifinal after beating Bloemfontein Celtic.

I am happy with what we got, we will give it our best go at the league honers, starting with the MTN 8. We are not doing bad except in the eyes of haters. Now is time to convert this talks into valuable league points and trophies whether plastic/silver or platinum. Our winning mentality is our extra boost this season.

Chiefs continued where they left off last year,when they played with Arrows they were a balanced team.Thanks to the management for not signing more than unnecesary players,hopefully with the foundation that has been build last year Chiefs is going to be the best to what they have been in the past season players now they do know each other and they know what they have to do with the ball when it is in their possession.

This season, it's only Pirates I fear........Downs' has the best squad player for player or pound for pound should I say.

Only a fool will dismiss SionSport as favourites, and I do'nt see Chiefs beating them home and away....ngeke even with the officals aboard!

I fear Bucs on paper because they've acquired well, the only thing about them is that we all know they master the art of dissapointing so maybe they are'nt worth my worries after all.

Chiefs is the least of my worries as a Brazillian because they could'nt fortify their side with players better than what they have because of financial shortcomings and other unspecifiable challenges like pending cases. Mh! mh!

By the way Shabba is just a one legged freak who shall always be remembered for that one goal, nothing special there bafethu hhayi kabi....Scara was miles ahead of this guy! All in all i-Chiefs ayithusi so please do'nt scare us people.

Computer Lamola is fooling himself together with all his Chimpz counterparts. There is nothing to fear about them, nothing. They are so ordinary they can't even hurt a fly. They have been fooled by their fluke wins to Celtic and Arrows who had new coaches and still trying combinations. Afterall they are good at the start of the season. Come end of the season they will finish 9th on the league table.

If shabba earns R20 000 and Teko R250 000, that is of no interest to me.All I care about is perfomance and results.
We might not match but we will chow pie-rats and sunflops on the field(were it matters most).

Chiefs sign players for their talents not to replace another player.That is why we don't go to the market to buy ANY player that we think can play for Chiefs.Kaiser played soccer in his days and he do have a knowledge of soccer,he has never been an administrator therefore this is one of the facts that makes Chiefs differ from other teams.
Take Computer Lamola, no one will ever match his talent that is why he was dubbed computer because he had some tricky styles during his days.Every player has his own style of playing that will never be the same like the other one.What I can every season Chiefs produce a talent.

Computer knows what is talking about. I know we are regarded as broke because can't buy players. Chiefs is the only team in Mzantsi that produced soccer stars. Most players who made names for themselves came to the clubs as unknowns.
The other clubs failed because they looking for names not players. Chiefs succeed because the players are united and play as the team not seeking personal glory.

I find it suprising that some people mistakenly compare Teko and Tshabalala. Teko hasn't hitherto achieve anything memorable as a member of a team whilst the latter has done a lot for his teams, both national team and club, Kaizer Chiefs. Of the two, the later has a 'winning mentality' while the first plays for 'funny'. Like I said before, the first was made bigger while he was still leapfrogging towards a limelight. For example, Tshabalala played for the national team while he was still in Mvela, he scored a historic goal in the biggest football stage ever while Teko suffers from stage-fright - tell me in soccer, which stage is the biggest - isn't a FIFA WC? if a player fails at such stage and then his blindfolded supporters claims that he's the best - where is he the best? Perhaps he's the best when he plays for fun
