Otorogu gets his work permit

Posted: 2010-09-03 15:18

Nigerian striker Ezenwa Otorogu will be available for Orlando Pirates’ next League game against Free State Stars at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday after receiving his work permit today.

Otorogu missed Bucs last two games, their 2-1 victory over Santos in the MTN8 quarter-finals and the 2-1 win against Vasco da Gama in the League, due to a delay in receiving his work permit from Home Affairs.

Speaking to KickOff.com, the former Enyimba star expressed his excitement that will now be available for selection.

"I have received my work permit and am very excited about it. My only focus now is to work hard and fight for my place in Pirates' starting line-up."

Otorogu has signed a three-year contract with Pirates after arriving from Club African of Tunisia.

The Mighty Buccaneers have also added defender Robyn Johannes from Mamelodi Sundowns to their squad.

i actually did nt believe that the pirates brand was actually amongst the biggest brands in south africa until i went 2 www.superbrands.com, wow wow wow. it shows that pirates is actually bigger than bafana bafana, springboks, and the proteas combined in terms of recognition world wide. realy pirates is huge
! the likes of absa, cocacola and vodacom are feeling our competition. chiefs and downs are small compared to pirates. its like a mouse(chiefs) vs an elephant(pirates).

Hence the reasons why Chiefs fans have always being making so much noise, coz they are terrified of such a superbrand.if you have being doubting this brand its high time you become fully a part of it.Anyway Ezenwa, you are so much welcome on board.

Ayeye Msowowa!!! Otorogu is back to take your place in the starting line up.

It will be a fight for position between Msowowa and Otorogu. I am glad that Krol has given Mabena and Msowowa a chance to prove themselves so far.

I magine how long it will take for Mashego, Reason Chiloane and Malokase to get their chance, once Otorogu does well. I believe Schalkwyk or Mbuyane will get some times to compete for midfield-cum-striker position.

Lizwi: 2010-09-03 18:09

I hope this guy will be able to bring an end to the drought at Pirates. It would be nice to beat a competitive Pirates not what we have been playing in the past few seasons. It will bring back the high pedigree of the derby.

I wish Pirates can wake up and see that running with the ball doesn't produce results. You cannot only field pacy players, you need people who can pass the ball around. You guys must learn from Chiefs.

Welcome on board 'Prince'...if you are perblexed about this name, it's an English translation of Ezenwa.

We are looking forward to seeing you officially in the black n white regalia n of course banging those goals. You remind me of Raphael Chuku Ndukwe.

Go jewa batho season e!

Tolly-ba-Thathe : 2010-09-05 20:12

Emma, don't make noise with these chimpanzees, they know we are pacesetters and others including them follow. We are the first to win African Champions Leagues and others are still working hard to acclaim that status. I am they are quite which to me means that they are starting to concede that they are mouses and we are elephants which means they can't do anything to us, maybe when Jesus comes back.
