Yobo close to Fener deal

Joseph Yobo will complete his loan move from Everton to Turkish giants Fenerbahce before the Turkish transfer window closes on Wednesday.

The Nigeria captain is heading out of Goodison Park after seeing his opportunities for a starting place limited at Everton and falling out with manager David Moyes.

Yobo is in Turkey undergoing a medical and negotiating what is expected to be very lucrative personal terms with the Turkish giants.

Fener will have the option of making the deal permanent at the end of the campaign.

Yobo was Everton manager David Moyes first signing, and has made 250 appearances since joining from Marseille in 2002.

But the Nigerian fell out of favour when he travelled for this year's African Nations Cup in Angola against the wishes of the club.
