Warri Wolves captain Fengor Ogude has joined Norwegian club Valerenga on a four year contract.
The 23 year old, who was called up to the senior Nigeria squad for this weekend's African Nations Cup qualifier against Madagascar, impressed during trials last year.
"We are very pleased that Fegor has joined Vålerenga. We've signed a midfield player who has good skills and can also challenge one-on-one," Valerenga manager Martin Andresen said.
"Fegor was on trial here last year and we have followed him for long. This is a player we have good references and who we know well.
"He is a midfielder with an eye for goal and is creative in his style of play. He has good speed for a midfielder and is a player we have great faith that can help make Vålerenga to be a better team," said Andresen.
Ogude, who scored 9 goals for Wolves last season, was one of the outstanding players in the Nigerian league, but Andresen said the club would still need to break him into their style.
"Fegor is a class player but we will need a little time to educate him in our play."
Ogude will stay with the team, where he will be assigned a shirt number after a training session on Wednesday, meaning he has now definitely been ruled out of this weekend's qualifier.
