Kanono resurfaces at United FC

Former Orlando Pirates and Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder Thembile Kanono has resurfaced in the Free State and is training with First Division side United FC.

Kanono has been without club since leaving Siwelele at the end of last season.

At one stage he was linked with a move to Thanda Royal Zulu where coach Professor Ngubane told KickOff.com that he was contemplating signing the talented player, however that did not materialise.

Speaking to KickOff.com, the 30-year-old confirms that he was training with United but said nothing had been finalised as yet.

"I am still training with the club and at the moment nothing has been finalised. I am desperate to play even though I don't like the First Division.

"Maybe I will sign short term contract with them and then hopefully get a move back to the PSL soon," he adds.

Kanono was a pilla of strenght in the middle of the park for Santos before he move for Mayfair, I quote"I needed new challanges and winning things" none of this was achieved. Another career down the drain.

what do u expect when u join Pirates?

Busani: 2010-09-02 08:15

Pirates must be proud of themselves...

At one point this boy was a hot property until he joined Pirates, he was never given enough opportunity...

Kanti i-Pirates kumele ibe nezidumbu ezingaki ukuthi abo Manyambela and the rest of the recruits to realize that signing with Pirates is suicide...

Nobody forced him to join Pirates. He wanted money and Pirates gave him just that. He failed to command a place and thats it. If abo Mayambela think its easy at Pirates then they are in for a surprise. Stop this wadda wadda about Pirates. Blame him not Pirates.
