Sundowns give Chabangu the boot

Posted: 2010-08-31 20:55

Mamelodi Sundown's relationship with striker Lerato Chabangu is over after his contract with the club was terminated on Tuesday.

Chabangu’s relationship with Sundowns has been sour since he returned back to the club after a short spell with SuperSport United last season and has been reportedly fined several times following allegations of ill discipline and missing training.

The Brazilians announced on their website that the Tembisa-born striker has been handed a free clearance to go and play for the team of his choice.

Eish what a loss, this player was promising. I remember watching him against Barcelona, he was a constant pain to Barca. But if a player can behave professionally, they need to be shown the door. Business is business Ndoda.....

Good move for Sunflops, after spending 4m for Chabangu and 5m for Cale, 5m for Ferrera. Great team great manangment indeed for Sunflops.

i hate chiefs fans (gays)  : 2010-08-31 21:45

he can go to natulawayo since he's a free agent. Ace you made your bed so pls peacefully lie on it. Thanks for nothing. Good riddance. In football, you are as good as your last game. Bobsteak there's a playa who has a clearance pls sign him cos Matatazela is soon leaving.

KidKudu7: 2010-08-31 22:11

Thats the results of ill discipline Lerato. Its time to focus solely on your football career or else you'll find yourself on the streets or behind the bars.

Pule : 2010-09-01 06:41

tso : 2010-09-01 07:08

Smallicious : 2010-09-01 07:36

Mpho can be a good plyr if he want and therz no doubt about that, but there is no team in the world that can tolarate ill discipline baba. simple E.g where is Sipho Nunes, Patrick Mbuthu, Steve Lekoelea etc.

Smallicious : 2010-09-01 07:39

Mabuti Khenyeza will be the next one out watch the space.

Stonza: 2010-09-01 07:41

gr8 staff...this guy has talent just like Pule...

Busani: 2010-09-01 07:55

Somebody please tell me, whose looses out here Sundowns??? having bought him for millions from SSU, signed him on a long contract and now terminating it, obvously having to settle the reminder of about 2/3 years???? Or, Shabangu whose could fase unemployment with stacks of money in the boot of his car???

I would rather be on Shabangu's shoe than those of Sundowns, they may have given him a boot, but their feet are sour.

Tolly-ba-Thathe : 2010-09-01 07:59

I know a team that specializes on free agent players will be quick to snatch him especially now that they have exhausted their spatch (budget). Watch the space, you will hear that he'a heading to Natulawayo. Bobby Tenderpreneurer will be in the news confirming their signing of the player just and just before the close day, @ 23:59 to show how desperate they can be. They even sign a player on the eleventh hour.

Ayeye wena Mpho you digged your own grave now rest in it.

mopedi+thwii: 2010-09-01 08:21

ITS HIGH TIME HE LEARNT THAT FOOTBALL & BRAINS GO HAND IN HAND....NOW HE'LL BE WATCHING SOCCER ON THE STANDS OR ON TV LIKE THE REST OF US, BUT THE DIFFERENCE IS THAT WE HAVE OUR OWN JOBS 2 PUT BREAD ON THE TABLE.......STARVE TILL U ROT SON, COZ U HAD U CHANCES & U PLAYED WITH THEM....right now if i were you i'll go back to school be it grade11 or 12 coz i know for a fact that you not a university material.........swallow u pride and go 2 rehab buti, the damage is done already...

Maeli: 2010-09-01 08:22

@Busani u might find tht there are clauses in hs contract he will get something but not too much like u heard there tht they fined him so he is going to loose out and I tell u No one will want to pay him too much money after flopping frm SSU and Sundowns frm 120000 he gonna get 30000 so he is going to loose big time hs S3 will be repossessed soon

Who is going to brew chibuku now that chabangu is gone! I heard Mambush is pushing a sheebeen ekasi seling Chibuku.
That is where sunbaboons drown their sorrows after a los to ajax MTN 8 match. Chabangu is the product of Chibuku brewing tean sunbaboons!

KaMashobana: 2010-09-01 08:41

Good move Downs, warning to other boozers, you can never be bigger than the club. Was he given his clearence just b4 the windr period closed.....sorry Mbombela Tender

LTKZ #22: 2010-09-01 08:44

Well i still believe downs success is on this guy, if only his discipline professional soccer player was good. Talent wise, he is sorted but Downs is a club owned by a millionaire. For one of his employees to be on the tabloids for all the wrong reasons almost every weekend, it certainly does some damaging to his high profile image.

I guess i will be seeing Chabangu more often, catch us every Sunday @ Timothy's Place at Ebony Park in Tembisa drinking 650ml Heinekens "aka Anties"...not that we dont have money, its a Sunday thing...

Chi: 2010-09-01 08:57

Chabangu should never have left super sport to go back to Sundowns PERIOD! that was his biggest mistake.

Swona (Treble): 2010-09-01 09:05

I dont think he is an amasing player, lucky yes he was, he needs to work now! wish him luck, there is a team which specialise with free agents, maybe they will pick him up, if you want to get rid of that audi, can buy it, and that jub-jub for your girlfrien, before they become scrap!

Soccer Critic (size13): 2010-09-01 09:11

lerato "has been" chabangu...u wasted ur talent san. maybe United FC can be desperate 4 u, they sign all the failures. good luck thou... high life is gonna come to an end very soon. phela wena uyabukisa etembisa

tpaz: 2010-09-01 09:20

Pearl: 2010-09-01 09:49

KING

Put a sock in the whole CHiefs thing manje..ur starting 2 sound like a stuck record for real...anyway

Chabangu must not panic. Sundowns will sign him again in 2 months time hehehehe

Marenkeni: 2010-09-01 09:53

You have to love Supersport. They bought this moron as a free agent from Sundowns and after realsing that this meomeish has ankle injury that will NEVER be cured, they then sold him back to Sundowns for R2million hahahahaha.
Dlala Matsatsantsa!

Champ "Superbrand": 2010-09-01 09:55

Its a golden opportunity for Kaizer Chiefs to sign a player, plus the boy has a free clearance and likes to booze.

Sweyts: 2010-09-01 11:02

Go to hell wena hlongandlebe, you're not even half as decnt a player but you go on and drag our name in the mud.

Piss off! I despise kids without respect, I hope uyam'hlonipha uyihlo nonyoko! Go well go shell! Mnxmntsh!

Mzeketiv: 2010-09-01 11:26

Shame man. Another Steve Lekoelea lost to the dustbin of history.

CPT chick: 2010-09-01 11:30

Shame::poor guy,futbal mara!!

The Game: 2010-09-01 14:16

These guys need a divine intervention, seriously: it's so unfortunate that with the few years these boys are 'allowed' to showcase their talent but spend most of their professional time acting childish and pathetic: Ntuka was fortunate to be signed by Supersports but for how long will he be lucky, (only time will tell)...I believe this has everything to do with players' personality and behaviours....Mbulelo lost a chance kwi World Cup, Jabu Pule, just to mention two and there's more than half of these ill-discipline players....Mamelodi Sundowns may have lost (as he was bought out of contract kwi Supersports) but on the fan's importance, it was their need...For Mr Goldfinger and Ace to be recalled and for that we thank the administration of Sundowns for respecting our view though this time it ended sourley....I wish he could pray and ask God to help him get a second chance cos this was a talent that was given freely by Our Heavenly Loving Father.....

Summerrain!: 2010-09-01 14:41

Thanx a lot The Game for that senseful wisdom, you have said it mouthful nothing can top that. I just hope that this boy can read what you've posted.

To King: no my King what does that got to do with anything, I didn't xpect that from you, cumon on this forum I always thought you were one most focused Pirates man. I fully agree with you but that had no place in Chabangu's topic. Please Bhakaniya lets stay real.

lunga: 2010-09-01 15:32

bhobhobho think of Nhleko,Baartman and Metsimetsi all the lastflights at Chiefs. They have done well at your club when all the doubting thomases did not give them a chance.Sunflowers with all their celebs have only brought resentment and jealousy among their fans.Maybe they are players by day and gold-diggers by night hence their cramps on the field of play.Chabangu come to chiefs!!!!

Ginger: 2010-09-01 16:56

But what kind of business is this, if it is a business bytheway.U let go of a player for free to SSU and buy him back a year later for a couple of millions and then boot him out with a year or 2 left on his contract...meaning u pay him a couple of millions again!!!!!!Ok please tell me who runs a business like that??Im shocked...i wont even comment about Chabangu he's a moron, dnt have time 4 sh!t!!
