Thulasizwe Mbuyane's Portugal move put on hold

Mbuyane move put on hold

Posted: 2010-08-31 14:54

Thulasizwe Mbuyane's proposed move from Orlando Pirates to Portuguese club Maritimo has been put hold until the end of the season.

Mbuyane was reported to be courted by Maritimo during the off season and there were expectations that the former Free State Stars midfielder would leave for Europe this season.

The Mamelodi born player's manager Mickey Paiva from Prosport International confirms the Portuguese interest but says it was now too late for the deal to happen as the transfer window closes at midnight tonight.

"There has been great interest from Maritimo, the team that Collins Mbesuma played for when he returned from Turkey. However chances of any move for the player are almost zero as the transfer window closes tonight."
