Zongo warned to toe the line

Soon after arriving in Cape Town to join PSL rookies Vasco Da Gama, midfielder Masibusane Zongo has been warned by the coach to either behave or ship out.

Zongo completed his move to Vasco after signing a one year deal from SuperSport United.

The former national Under-20 star's departure from Pretoria was hailed as a relief at SuperSport where several allegations of ill discipline at the club surfaced along with reports of him missing training sessions.

However, 'Zizou' has been given a new lease of life in Cape Town and a chance to prove himself by Vasco coach Carlos Das Neves.

Das Neves has warned him that he must behave or take the next bus back home to Umtata.

"It is all up to him. If he messes up this opportunity, he is out. We will give him all the necessary support and we believe with the environment in the team, it will bring out the best football in him."

Zongo is to team up with Rudi Isaacs at Vasco after spending time together at SuperSport United.

King you are right about players from "rural" areas. That is one of the reasons why Ajax Amsterdam has got support "families" where kids like Benni, Schillo went and stayed with them until a certain age/sign of maturity....
