Celtic chasing Mthembu

Bloemfontein Celtic are racing against time to sign Orlando Pirates striker Siphelele Mthembu before midnight when the transfer window period closes. 

Celtic, who are searching for a reputable striker after their strike force fired blanks in recent games, were late yesterday locked in negotiations with Pirates to bring Mthembu to Celtic this season.
 
Phunya Sele Sele CEO Ike Augousti confirms that his team will be announcing one more player before lunch today and Mthembu could have attended his last training session with the Mighty Buccaneers yesterday.
 
"I can't reveal names but yes Mthembu might be the possibility."
 
Augousti said his club will continue to play without a sponsor on their jersey until October after their relationship with Vodacom came to an end.
 
MTN is rumoured to be taking over as the main sponsor of Siwelele this season.
 
"I think the official announcement will be made in October but at this stage I can't reveal the name of the sponsor until the company makes an official statement themselves."

he must go, Floyed fought day and night for this average player, what a waste, but the last time I checked Celtics did not have a coach, so who's buying him L****n or Ike? SA football at it's best, his career is finished, they will get a coach who will bench him!

This story is so funny. This is the same player which two big teams in the South African league were fighting for. What has he contributed to Pirates???? NOTHING. And now he is going to be let go to either Celtic or whatever?? He came empty handed to Pirates and has left empty handed.

A lot of us here are not being real, I respect Sundowns, Pirates, Swallows, SS and I support Chiefs. I will tease when they fumble but truth be told, they are worthy nemesis. SA soccer would not be the same without them.
