Vilakazi extends Arrows deal

Golden Arrows striker Vusumuzi Vilakazi has extended his deal with the club for a further year just a month after entering the last six months of his contract that is due to expire at the end of December.

Vilakazi says he is back focusing on playing with his contractual matters now settled.

"I am registered with Golden Arrows because I am still contracted to them. Look the thing is I have always had a contract with Arrows that goes up to the end of the year in December," says Vilakazi.

But why a contract that goes up to December when the season ends in mid-year.

"I have always had a half year in my contract. It is all to do with things from the past that are now history. But in any case I have since extended for another season and I am here training with the rest of the team and I did pre-season with everyone else," he says.

Vilakazi was in the travelling squad for the Kaizer Chiefs game at the weekend but did not play.

The 27 year-old told KickOff.com in May that he was not worried about his contract though he didn't last play much last season.
